Finally found a template, I kinda really like! Now I need to learn how to work with it, the characters seem so small. Too bad I'm uber n00b. Moving on to the cheddar.
Although there are several vegan cheese recipes on the webs, and I've tried a few ones out, I am still not pleased. As for buying vegan cheese in Portugal, kthxbai. It's pricey and not tasty. By not tasty I mean completely unedible. why? T_T
The brand in question that stole my heart is the German Wilmersburger. So far, I have tried the cheddar, and the classic versions. And I have a very seemingly tastylicious Paprika version next to me.
The cheddar version is tasty, but it's not like the dairy cheddar I remember eating. As for the classic, my caramba, it tastes JUST like the kind of cheese we normally eat in Portugal. It smells like it too. That kind of Flamengo cheese sliced.
Alright, time to talk money! In all the 3 varieties I bought, you get 6 big slices of cheese for 3,19€. You can easily make a grilled cheese, or a normal sammich with just 1,5 slices, making the cheese food cost of your tasty treat at 0,8€ a pop. Vegan cheese in Portugal is also usually more expensive. I wish they would sell this brand there. Maybe I should e-mail these guys and ask them to be a sales rep in Portugal for them, in exchange for ALLTHECHEESE!
Stay tuned for the next post on the state of Tofu.
